5K Run for the Cure : 21:42

Felt good about the 5K.  Started out a little fast with a 6:40 first mile, 7:00 second mile. Almost gave up and walked at mile 2, 7:20 3rd mile, but hung in there and finished pretty strong - finished with a strong .1 mile.  Not very psychologically strong sometimes.  My weekly speed and tempo work seemed to have helped though.

It was a good confidence booster for the marathon next week.  Still not sure about running it though.  May see if I can opt out and run the 1/2.  didn't get into St. Geo.:(.  I think I'll focus on some shorter runs and spend the year strengthening my running strength and core.  Thats probably best anyway,

Ran the Ogden 1/2

By mile 5, I was feeling a bit tired.  Slowed down from there for a personal worst 1/2 of 1:50.  Real glad I did not run the full.

I haven't been able to put in the miles that I have needed.  Beautiful morning!!
